HISD Elementary School Hours Summary

  • Standard Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Transition to Class: 7:45 AM

  • First Bell: 8:00 AM

  • Tardy Bell: 8:15 AM

  • Dismissal: Pre-K - 1st Grade at 3:00 PM. 2nd Grade - 5th Grade at 4:00 PM.

Important Reminders:

  • Earliest Drop-Off: Students may be dropped of as early as 6:30 AM.

  • Tardy Policy: Students arriving after 8:15 AM are considered tardy, and a parent or guardian must come into the building to sign them in.

  • Attendance Policy: Students who arrive after 9:30 AM will be counted absent for the day, per district guidelines.
